Cookie Baking Session

Always feel that cookie baking or cake making is a good form of bonding session with young children. It also allow the kids to have some great fun. So mummy and god mama set a date and started our first cookie baking session with Josh.

Godmama did all the research on what will be the best recipe for mummy and Josh. After some consideration, we decided on Chocolate Chip Cookies and a simple banana cake. But who knows the under utilised oven broke down before we even started so God mama have to resort to a simple toaster oven and drop the banana cake.

Below are the limited pictures of our bonding session:

Godmama trying to get a picture with the assistant baker who is busy with the egg mixing.

Close up shot of the busy assistant baker.

He is actually afraid of the noise from the mixer but have fun helping me pouring in the ingredients and beating the eggs. Not to forget, he is kind of a clean freak who do not enjoy rolling the mixture into small balls as it kind of create a oily feeling to his hands. So in turn he use a spoon to scope the dough.

The final product...Not too bad for a first timer, right?

Look forward to the next baking session...Will arrange something similar for my little princess too.

Melbourne - Ballarat Trip (20 - 25 August 2010)

My friend and I were trying to find a way to get away from our job and so when we saw SQ having promo fair to Melbourne, we grab the chance and set a date to visit our friend. Our friend was so nice to accomodate us and plan for the trip. So all we have to do is to pack and go.

So after months of waiting, the day was finally here.Since our trip involved my little darling, so we decided to take the early flight out and arrived in the evening.

Below are the photos that can tell the story of my short but relaxing trip:

Started the trip with ice-cream. See how the little guy enjoy them.

Day 2 - Shopping at Queen's Victoria Market

Love this shot....Little guy has to nap at Macdonald while waiting for Godmama to return from her shopping trip. Actually I was just showing him the trams on the street.

With the host of our trip at Crown Hotel.

Delicious pasta and pizza. yummy! yummy!

All ready for our treetop walk

The 2 happy families at treetop

All arriving at the highest point

Lunch in the car of sandwiches and salad. Very close to nature.

Part 2 of day 3 - Great Ocean Road...The only group picture we have.

Day 4 - Lake Mountain. This is the 1st time the little guy and I saw snow. Though I didn't ski but I have just enough fun playing snow with the little guy.

See how much the fun they have with the little one? Though it was super tiring pushing him back up the slope.

So while we were having fun with the snow, these 2 were having fun skiing.

After the long day at lake mountain, we had a wonderful teppanyi dinner. The mummy had a hard time getting the little one into the restaurant as he got frightened off by the stunts of the chef. So we had no choice but to request that the chef perform no stunts on our table.

Day 5 - Shopping day at Ballarat City

So while all the ladies are shopping, what is the little one doing? Playing his favourite slide. I guess he were praying that we could spend more time shopping.

Next stop: Ballarat Wildlife Park. The little guy was so excited about feeding the kangaroos that he is still talking about it today. But poor god mama was frightened by the roaming kangaroo as they were cramping around the tight passageway. The sad thing was we couldn't have a photo with the koala bear due to the bad weather.

Home cooked dinner on the last evening. Great fun cooking with my friends.

While waiting for our breakfast that took ages to arrive and also got us almost late for our flight.

Last breakfast in Melbourne.

So sad that our holiday come to an end so quickly. Anyway will be looking forward to Denise trip back to Spore and we have so much plan in stall for her.

Ladies - looking forward to the next trip together, okie? Hopefully there will be new additional members on the next trip...hehe. Denise - you know what I mean right?

Present

After seeing this on the papers on Friday, I totally find that there are so meant for my 2 little darlings. My little princess is such an Elmo fan so I decided Elmo will be ideal for her and got Cookie Monster for prince.  Aren't there cute?

My little princess was so happy to see her present that she gladly called me - 干妈 for the 1st time instead of 妈. However, her present is way too big for her so I have to change for another size before she actually wear them. Will definitely take a picture of her in this shoe.

Wonder if my prince will like the present? Or can he fit?

Will update again.

My little prince came visiting as it's been ages since he came over and see my mum. He was a bit scared and hang on to mummy and daddy quite closely. I though giving him a present will help him settle down and open up. However, as I tried to get him to try on the school, he gave me a big firm "NO". I was like "Oh No"...will he reject my present? So everyone tried different praising ways to get him to try but he was like "No". After that, mummy wore the shoe in front of a mirror and he finally decided to give it a try. However, the Cookie Monster seem too big for him and he prefer the Elmo. So he went home with a pair of Elmo shoe.

A big boy already right?

December Rain

In celebration of Toy Factory Productions Ltds 20th Anniversary in 2010, they brought back the musical DECEMBER RAINS .

December Rains is a love story, that kind of love that invites endless joy and perpetual pain. It is 1950s Singapore. The innocent relationship of a pair of young lovers is convoluted by strikes organized by Chinese students, a marriage of convenience and strong parental disapproval. The symphony of pain resonates to a third party who is waiting desperately in vain for his unrequited love. In 1980s, past grievances and mistakes are contagiously wounding the younger generation. Only a personal sacrifice and the surfacing of an undelivered love letter would resolve all these entanglements. However, no one knows when the rain will depart in December.

Being someone who enjoy muscial or play, I actually booked tickets when it was released and was so looking forward to it. Though we were in the muscial with a group of teenager from some organisation or school and at times, they were making quite some noises, I still enjoyed myself very much. As compared to the If there were seasons, December rain is a sad love story but the cast is superb in their performance and singing capabilities esp the lead actress - Kit Chan. Her voice was powerful and potray the role really well. Not forgeting the 2 main leads who were also the lead for If there were seasons. I will definetly consider play/musical where they will be involved.

So if you have the time, you should really go and experience the power of muscial.

End note: I even bought the CD for this musical....that's how much I enjoy myself. hee.
