Dinner & Dance

Attended my first Dinner & Dance in this company yesterday. The theme for the D&D was around the world. As i only brought my wrist let, i did not bring my camera over and so wasn't able to share here the pictures of those sales people who actually invested and rented different outfits and trust me they were really good. We have Japanese, red Indians, British soldier, England prince and princesses, Koreans, belly dancers, Vietnamese and Thai as well. Will see if i can get any pictures from the rest.


If you were to ask me if i have fun? then the answer will be no. In the past when i had to attend such function, i was still able to have someone with me and keep me company but for yesterday night, i was actually all alone. Reason being that my closest colleague didn't make it to the dinner as she is due for delivery and wasn't feeling very well. So i was actually alone with people that i am not familiar with. This really make me feel rather outcast despite that i have actually stayed in the company for close to 6 mths and yet do not have any familiarity to the whole company. Haiz. I guess this company will be one where i will not stay in touch with them after i left. Shall not think any further and take one day at a time. I believe there is a reason for me to take this route.


Shall not focus my energy on such negativeness.


Anyway below is me in my basic outfit with my boots. It actually took me a while to step out of the house as i wasn't very used to wearing boots in Singapore. Hehe. But eventually i still overcome my awkwardness.

The night was all not bad and the good thing is i actually won the 160th present and walk away with a $100 taka voucher.

So life will not be always bad and there is always some good for everyone.

First Chinese Theatre

Have always been interested in watching musical and theatres but due to the high cost and lack of companies, the no. of musicals that i have watched can easily be counted. Last month, i have a chance watch my first chinese theatre - The Soldier & His Virtuous Wife.

From the above poster, you will know that it is actually the story is based on ancient settings but trust me it is a rather funny and entertaining drama. So considering the ticket price, i will say it is worth it.

Will look out for other works and hope i have a chance to watch other theatres works this yr.

New Haircut

Got a sms from the mummy late friday night. Ah ma actually brought josh for a haircut so his hair is so short. But he still look good and maybe less girly. Hopefully his hair will still be so "stylo" when it grow.

Busy Saturday

I actually watched my first show at the Singapore Film Festival - The art of negative thinking with my ex-colleagues. It is a burlesque drama about Geirr, who has become severely handicapped in a traffic accident. In an attempt to show everyone how terrible he feels, he has hit a dead end. Given his isolation, weapons fixation, self medication and limitless bitterness, his girlfriend Ingvild doesn't know how to handle him any longer. She therefore invites a municipal positivity group to their home. Faced with the threat of a possible break-up with Ingvild, Geirr agrees to join the meeting. Consequently, the stage is set for 24 intense hours at Geirr and Ingvild's place. Geirr is the only one who refuses to see anything in a positive light. Gradually, he is joined by all the positivity group members. Not only must the leader of the group be vanquished; everyone must also confront their own negative inferno. Geirr forces everyone through a tunnel of desperation, anguish and hopelessness, before the day dawns and they once again catch sight of light, if only as a faint glimpse of hope. At this point, even Geirr realizes the banal truth: One has to try to think positive, however lousy one feels.

The show is pretty interesting and provide a different perspective to the way we think.

After this show, we were invited to one of member's birthday celebration at the Icon, which is a pretty condo at tanjong pagar. The condo was really luxurious with a level where there is sofa area for us to hang around and oversee the CBD night scene. Above that, there is even indoor jacuzzi area and massage tables. Even for their swimming pool area, there is comfortable sofa for people to hang out. After our short visit, all of us are longed to own one unit there if our financial permits. Though i didn't manage to take pictures of the environment, there is some shot of us below.

Though we are yawning away after the celebrations, we still insisted on catching a midnight movie at GV PS. So the 4 of us (me, cynthia, cheewee and marion) went ahead to watch a movie that we thought will keep us awake, i.e. Definetly maybe. But through the 120mins, the 4 of us were struggling with the sleeping bug but all failed as none of us make it through the whole movie without napping in between. In conclusion, we should always follow our heart and not push ourselves to the limit. Anyway it was all still fun and we are still living it to our usual practise of not reaching home before 2am. haha.

Update on Baby Josh

Should my schedule permit or if the mummy is free, i will try to visit my little prince and see if he is doing well. So i have a chance this week to visit the 8 weeks old prince - Josh. Overall he is growing very well as you will tell from the pictures below that he doesn't look like a 2mth old baby but more a 4 mth old baby. But according to mummy, the cousins are also big in size so we guess it is genetic. We also concluded that this little prince has the mummy character as he is so afraid of heat and will scream when he is hot or when he is hungry.

Self motivation

Over the past week, i was informed that the head of our department and my colleague have both decided to leave the company. Glad that they found better opportunities but sad that the few people that i can click will now leave the place. Leaving me alone with all the weird people and no one to share my fustrations and provide knowledge for me to grow as a person.

Now that they will be leaving this wednesday, I am actually very insecure with my boss as he doesn't seem to be the kind of boss who will protect their subordinate and I can't seem to learn much from him. Furthermore being in such a political environment mean that i need to be extra careful and avoid being blacklisted or hated by all those power players.

Apart from praying that my boss can get a gd replacement that i can get along, i can only continue to be patience and wait for my big break since i don't have the required portfolio to bring me to a better place. I pray for strength to stay positive and continue this journey to fully understand the lesson that god has planned for me.
